I am reading Yuval Noah Harari’s book 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. In one chapter he talks about Elon Musk’s innovative car company Tesla and its two models of self-driving car: the Tesla Altruist and the Tesla Egoist. The concept being that in an emergency the Altruist model will not hesitate to sacrifice the owner to save other lives whilst the Egoist model will not hesitate to save the owner at all costs.
